Over
the years The Showbiz Society, through membership dues and fundraising
events, has been able to help numerous people in our entertainment
community. This includes giving money to people to assist them in
paying their rent, their utility bills, purchasing an electric wheel
chair, helping to pay medical bills, assisting in funeral costs,
providing gift certificates for groceries, in an unofficial capacity we
“adopted” needy families and bought them hundreds of Christmas gifts, we
honored many entertainers and had fun at many social events. Since inception, the
motto has been “Fun with a purpose”. |

My friend "Denny Jones" who is
semi-retired but keeps busy doing a lot of different things.
He Designs, Maintains and Hosts Websites. He also supports the arts
and performers around the country, helping performers in bookings. And
he was the Membership
Director for an exclusive, high-class magic and gourmet-dining club
(Magic Island in Houston Texas). He is currently the Membership
Director for The Showbiz Society. Denny is also on the Board of
several Charity Organizations. The picture on the right is us, years ago at Magic

Surrounded
by the most excellent musicians, Errol Desmond LeBlanc in his
continuing quest to remind his audiences around the world, that
class is still here even though we live in a most casual world. He
has made a promise to his fans and friends to give them an evening
that they will always remember. You may search the world but you
will never find a more classy and elegant performer. Errol's true
lesson on show business was given to him one night at the Okura
Hotel by the greatest of greats, Sammy Davis Jr. which is: Stage
right, Stage left and Center stage. Sammy also said "No
matter how large or how small the crowd or stage is, always remember
that you have an audience." Give them what they came to see.Errol's
primary focus is on his new nightclub act. Errol has now reinforced
an already solid act with a tribute of songs to the one and only Mr
"B" Billy Eckstine. Those who have seen it has given many accolades
as Errol will say just some more elegance and class. A new CD is
also in the works. |
